transmission fluid?

Type F should be fine in a drag car but...Type F was designed for Fords that used bronze clutches; the last trans made with bronze clutches was the Cruise-o-matic. It was spec'd up until certain 1980 Ford builds.

"...Mobil Type F ATF is not recommended for automatic transmissions in (newer) Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, American Motors, or any other cars requiring a Dexron-II, Dexron-IIE, Dexron-III..." Mobil

Something about lower shear pressure, lower max temperature, higher wear characteristics and generally poorer long term characteristics than Dexron xx. Now it does shift faster (B&M slick shift is supposedly Type F) so its probably fine in a drag car or limited use application.
