Hello,
Looking for the correct alternator adjusting straps and hardware for a 65 273 with AC. I'm told the mounting bracket is the same for AC and non AC and if so, I already have it. Converting my car to factory AC so I want the correct parts. If you have them to sell, please drop me a line and let me know the cost with shipping to zip code 21237. Thanks. -Frank

I’ve got what you need. I’ll be able to get my hands on them next week. I’ll contact you when I do.

The alternator bracket is NOT the same between AC and non-AC cars. AC cars used a cast iron alternator bracket in 1965.

Here is my thread from when I was trying to piece together the correct brackets. I think it will help you you.

Are you trying to get the correct brackets for 65 or just something that will work?

Do you have the compressor with the double groove pulley? 1965 used two belts. I think it's a one year only setup and very difficult to find.

Hello, thanks for contacting me. I do have the correct pulleys, dual pulley compressor and idler, lines, drier and condensor all rebuilt and refinished. Just didn't know I needed a different alternator bracket setup. It looks like I'm going to need everything to mount and adjust my alternator. I'm definitely looking for correct 65 parts. Thanks for your time and the education. -Frank
