I have 3 a body 4 speed transmissions I am wanting to sell sometime in the future but I don't know what they are worth, I was wondering if someone could tell me what the most I could expect to sell them for.
1. 1968 Hemi Cuda 4 speed that I was told came out of Sox 7 Martins Cuda, I bought it in 1973 to carry for a spare. It was sold because it was cast iron and they wanted a aluminun one to save weight. I never used it but carried it for many years as a spare. It is a factory crash box and cannot be shifted slow. could be converted back to a regular shift. Its in good condition as it hasn't been used very little or not a all.

2. Hemi A-Body cast iron crash box that was modified by Liberty, it has been modified to be a 2.77 ratio first gear and has large heavy duty dogs in it for shifting. I used this back in the 1970's and 80's it in in good condition.

3 Cast iron 23 spline input shaft 3.08 first gear transmission, that I made a crash box out of (cannot shift slow) I used it in the early 80's. it was modified by me by removing every other dog to aid in speed shifting, it hasn't been used it many, many years it is in good condition but not perfect, it could be converted back to a regular shift if someone wanted too.

I would like to sell these for as much as I can fairly get for them and help would be appreciated.

About 5 years ago I sold a alum crash box for $850 I had it for sale for a long time and it finally sold I thought it would bring a lot more but you might do better if you find the right guy. good luck

Wow, nice pieces Jeremy. I take it your Duster is a 4 speed? Did you stay a833, or go Jerico?

Does the spare race box have a red stripe ratio gear set with a 2.65 first gear? You may want to talk to Brewers or Passon performance to ask them.

Great advise, that could be worth a pretty penny for Jeremy.

I know you probably don't want to open them up, but to get best price you should probably check all ratios.
And a serious buyer will probably want to peek inside as well.
I hope you find the right buyer.

18 spline Hemi Boxes are pricy. Look on the Passon Performance site or Brewers Performance. They had hardened main shafts also. Modified can add or subtract worth depending on buyer and intended usage. Good Luck.

While not a street piece, I still would love to have one with a V-Gate shifter, even if it would involve “floating the gears” to shift when not driving all out. It would take a whole lot more work to the rest of the car to make that feasible, though.

If you are on Facebook, look up Dean Sox. He is Ronnie's son. I have him as a Facebook friend. Talk to him a lot. Really nice guy. He might be able to tell you how you can verify that transmission. If so, that could also add to the value. Just a thought.
