67/68/69 cuda dilemma
Well i got a little more done on the 69 notch. I got it sitting in covered outside storage at a buddys place with the front propped up on a cinderblock since i got it a few years back. I am prepping it for a move to my shop. Had a V8 K frame and lower control arms i got off Dartos awhile back. Also had a set of the large diameter front disc brakes i pieced together out of M body fifth ave, and B body 79 cordoba stuff. Rotors are turned, and coated with Corban35. This will hold off the rust just fine for years. Easily wipes off with laquer thinner and a paper towel.
I figured i would go ahead this week on my vacation time and put the front end it will eventually have under it just temporary so i can at least move it, and get it to my place. I dont have LBJ upper arms ready to go with ball joints, so i just pinned it with the small upper arms to get it back on all 4 wheels. Tomorrow is steering column install day and toss a front bumper on it so it can be pushed around. Looks funky with LBP 15" steelies on the front and SBP 14s on the rear.
I will be temp hanging the 8.8 under the back when i get it home, and installing a set of 15" steelies under the back, and temp hanging all the front end sheetmetal on it along with the correct year hood. Then its at least somewhat complete and in one piece.
