I just tore apart my 1406 Edelbrock that I got from another Chevy friend LOL for free LOL. most of time I've just had to clean them up and run them. This one is exceptionally gonkey and gross. The local parts store, Summit, and places like that want about 40 to $43. But online on eBay and places like that I've see them for anywhere from 11 or $12 up to $25? are these cheaper ones? just knockoff versions that are going to cause me problems? Or is it just a brick-and-mortar versus the internet? Thank you for anybody's experiences...

It doesn't mater because all the kits are made by walker in California.
carter,edelbrock, echlin, and so on.

That might be true. BUT you need to make SURE you get a kit made for the EDELBROCK and NOT the Carter. While you can "MAKE" the Carter kit work, they are not the same.

I did call my local O'Reilly's first and they said 42.99 and they have them. I did speak my mind out loud accidentally and was wondering why they were like $11 online and he gave me the brick-and-mortar speech, but I didn't argue with him or complain about it as I do like to spend my money locally, but when we get into the four times as much then.... He was cool and took me the right way and said you know if you need it right away we have it, but if you have a few days to wait for it maybe RockAuto or somebody like that I could get it cheaper..

Sorry I didnt look thru the website, I know I've ordered before from Mike for a carter and an Eddy. Good prices.
I just checked that link out and didn't notice where I can find the Edelbrock kit? I believe the Edelbrock part number for the kit that I need is 1477?

I saw some on Ebay pretty affordable I think they are in my what list.

You don't have to get the bonifide Edelbrock kit, just make sure the kit is FOR the Edelbrock carburetor and not the carter. Look for Ninja Fuel Systems on Ebay. I get kits from them because they are reasonable and here in Georgia. People often forget as they stand at the counter bitching about O'Reilly prices that it was THEY who walked into a RETAIL parts store. I'll say it again. RETAIL.

Do you work at o'Reilly??

I have ordered online from him and happy with price/service.
Has dashpots reasonably priced, where there are other clowns selling same thing at 4 times the price.
I believe he has "how to" on Boobtube as well.
If I need and he has, I will order from him.
So you know this place personally it's close to you or something?

Thank you, I'll look for the ninja website. And yeah I didn't complain or b**** or anything like that I just kind of said my mind out loud and he understood. Also I called I didn't walk in.

I did look up that Ninja Place really quick and did have it for 11.63 which was really good. I don't have a PayPal or eBay account. Is there a local phone number for them where I can call them tomorrow and just give him a credit card number and get them going?

Yeah the first one I don't know where that link was going? LOL the second one was pretty good I like those floats the ones that are in here pretty ugly but you know I'll use them if I have to LOL but also coming from China. that last one was really funny did you notice the way that they made the happy face out of the parts?
The 2nd link the smiley face one says made in USA!
With a 10 dollar price difference you could probably get three USA ones and buy floats
