More and more disgusted with local used pickup prices...and choice

I just leased (last August) a 2018 Ram 1500 Express Quad 4x4 . Listed for $44k . What? What is driving up the prices of used vehicles is new vehicles . supply and demand . FIY: a 1500 Express is one step up from a work truck but it has 13 computers in it . Too many people driving the truck besides me . stupid stuff I don't use . Also, I live in the rust belt and inspection stations reject vehicles with rust holes . this drives prices up for clean cars and trucks . I also have a 2000 Durango that is a money pit (electrical issues) . I have to put it out of is misery . third : the economy is booming and a lot of folks have $ to spend . Fourth: interest rates are relatively low right now , going up , though , people are aware of this and are jumping in before the increase . I lease mine because I'm sick of fixing shitboxes and when my lease is up I should have a Dodge (not Ram) truck restored to last me . One last note , there is no such thing as a good used compact/sub-compact car . People buy them and beat the crap out of them and don't maintain them . They're junk !
