Amateur radio ops use what is known as "Q" signals which is shorthand for lots of questions and answers from the old telegraph days. One "joke" Q signal is QLF which means "are you sending with your left foot?" This of course is a reference to a VERY bad key operator

We were setting up a brand new Motorola radio model, and having trouble getting some feature set up. The boss was reading "the manual" and ended up in the back, the troubleshooting flow chart, you know, "Is the power switch on" yes/ no etc

Symptom: CW identifier sounds QLF

Cause: Operator is a LID

(LID is a slang term for poor operator)

Next thing I knew he was rolling on the floor laughing
