More and more disgusted with local used pickup prices...and choice

Fact is Toyoto pick um ups really hold value, good trucks I must admit.

What drives up prices of decent used trucks is price of NEW ones, plus supply/demand. The new tucks are loaded with unneeded electrical crap! Try buying a basic work truck! They do not make them NOW!

Texas is a truck state. But in high propulated area like Houston there are tons of old ones. Trick is which went thru the great flood of'17!!

Right before I moved to Texas in '16 I bought a 8 D150 slant truck, 98 % rust free, and drove great. The hydraulic clutch cyl needed replaced! Cost $1000. I gave it to grandson about to start college. He did not want it, wanted a used rice burner, so I sold it for $700 to a car friend, and gave him the $ and wised him well!

I was watching re run of a BJ yesterday. I watched just a few sell. OK so I understand the "new" new is the modern drive trai, resto mod, but I saw a 58 chev 1/2 wonder resto mod, sell for $85,000,.... a real 67 OEM restored Camaro Z28 go for $65,000, and a REAL deal OEM restored 68 HEHI Roadrunner, ( real 426 car) go for $65,000!!!!!!! Then the next sevral were 50's pickups resto modded stuff sell for $70-90,000 !! Hahahahahahahahah

Another reason pickups even out of the 70's are good property!!???????

But the cars that sell at BJ will NEVER or hardly ever bring those bucks if the buyer wants to sell privately at HOME!!!!!
