Possibly Selling all original H code 4spd In-violet 71 Duster. Need pricing help?

One owner car. All original 340 and 4spd with Sure grip rear. Rallye pkg with sharktooth grille, dash, rims and hood pins. Factory Racing mirrors. Needs work. Not running now but ran when last used in early 90's. Garaged since. Needs full interior. Came with houndstooth bench.

Any ideas where i can get some pricing guidelines. May be looking to sell. Have build sheet, owners manual and window sticker.

To somebody looking to sink big money into a car with rot...5k max, and that's to the right buyer. Realistically 3k. Just from that pic it needs more than some touch-up.

Unless you want some stupid answers like ten bucks, you need to post more pictures. Interior, under hood, under the car, the whole nine yards. Is the paint original? ALL of the drive train? You say shark tooth grille, but where is it? It's not even pictured. What's it's condition? If you want an accurate price, you need to post accurate pictures. A lot of them.

Look at it this way.1971 Was the best year for the 340 cars.You have a 4 speed bench seat rare color.That package is and was most desirable.
 
Complete Motor with manifolds carb intake worth $1500, 8 3/4 $1000sure grip $500, 4 speed set up $1000 plus it all matching with the car it's I'd say $5000 is good deal.

Truthfully, I do all my own work. Fab, paint, ect. If that car was free, I don't think I could turn a profit.

While the pedigree is nice, the numbers don't make sense. You've gotta find a buyer who wants "that car", and will spend whatever to get it. In the real world it's only worth a grand more than a slant 6. These things don't pull down cuda/mustang prices when done.

honestly, need more info & pics, but there are vast areas of the country where these cars, especially ones that are mostly original, are very few & far between.
To maximize your market reach into these areas, gain exposure and the most profit, Id suggest you throw this on ebay. Just be honest about condition, etc. Ebay can surprise you sometimes, when people get to bidding & 'must' win at all cost. Good place to price shop as well. Best of luck.

I know it's a gem. albeit a rough one at this point. You're right though about the "right" buyer. It's been my father's car since he came home from Vietnam and he's been going to restore it again but it's not going to happen. He's reluctant to sell but we're trying to convince him to let it go and buy something you can enjoy now while you can. I've got 3 boys in or going into college so I can't do the work or have the $$.

I can't let it sit around anymore and rot away. Someone will be happy to get it.
