More and more disgusted with local used pickup prices...and choice

What on earth is driving these tremendous pickup prices. I've rethought and re-re-re-rethought what to do, and how to go, and broadened my search. From a 4 whanger extended cab Ranger/ Mazda/ Tacoma, to a 4wd, to a moredoor hemi 1/2T RAM the prices are just ridiculous. I just got emailing some guy. Wanted 3G above the highest I could "click" on Kelly. I selected all the high priced spread, and came nowhere near to what he wants. This is a 6G truck he wants over 85 or more closer to 9G
if you tried facebook marketplace and set your city to valdosta, brunswick, savannah, and other georgia, florida, alabama, arkansas and midwestern states you might find a better deal. just north of me was a 1990 d150 extended cab, 3 speed manual w/ overdrive that sold for $2150. There were several MINT 72-87 chevy single cab pickups for $2k or less where in most other parts of the country these same trucks sell starting at $6K.
I keep telling my liberal friends on facebook that there are TWO economies in the USA. (slamming them for their $15 min wage). The rural areas are SOOO much cheaper. November to early February are the cheapest times of the year to buy used vehicles.
Best Wishes.
