Here is my $0.02. Unless you get real lucky, you have nothing but a parts car. I have not had much luck with DMVs. If they CAN tell you no, they usually will. I hope you don't have too much money tied up in it. FWIW, you can make a lot of money parting out a car.
Don't get me wrong; I truly wish you luck, but I don't see a title in your future.

I was really blessed with my deal. A car that had not been run or tagged since 1982, I was skiddish of course. But Wally was great to work with. He is administrator for his cousin's estate who owned the car. Here I was thinkin "yeah the DMV is gonna make it hell for me." But Wally had all the is dotted and ts crossed and now I have a clean Georgia title in my name. I do agree that they will tell you no if they can. I think all the paperwork I had though had them be the nads. Even they couldn't believe the system let them title a 64 model car.
