(Project car) I just installed my transmission Into the bellhousing. It went remarkably well. I used my old motorcycle jack and an old watercraft life jacket to stabilize the trans on the Jack.

I used threaded mounting posts at the top and light taps with a rubber mallet. Slipped right in, 1 mm at a time.

When I was almost finished I thought... wait, is there supposed to be a gasket between the trans and the bell?

I’m thinking ‘no’... and I can’t find one in the manual, nor any sold in any gasket kits, but some confirmation on this would be grand.

Thanks!

You might look in the bell and make sure the release bearing clips are still on the fork tips correctly if you haven't already.

A gasket would upset the alignment likely. Did you do all the bore and face measurements with a dial indicator?
