Can horn switch go bad?
This switch is for horns with a button, not a horn ring. The springs are a little weaker, because the button doesn't give the leverage a ring does. Using the button switch with a horn ring can make the horn blow with a slight touch, or even by hitting a bump hard. So, in a Road Runner, your glove box door opens, AND your horn blows!
2771534 is the switch for a horn ring. They don't seem to be as numerous or cheap as 2822126, but there are new and used on eBay ranging from $15 to $125.
