Review of Cheap Ebay GPS Speedometer
Well, for $20 - I thought I'd give it a shot.....
Here is everything that was in the box...
Pros:
It's cheap....I mean, come on - $20 !
It actually works.....
No wifi connection is needed....works basically like a radio.
Cons:
No built-in battery...you'll need a power source or the lighter. I used a battery back-up I had for a phone.
Reaction time is SLOW. When I come to a stop it takes several seconds for it to display 0 mph - when accelerating, it lags behind my actual speed until it "catches up".
Took it a while to find it's signal - I thought it was broken - but it did connect.
So - cruising down the highway....it would work pretty well....good for verifying your speedometer too.
Verdict - I'm going to buy the correct speedometer gear for my car and stop all this nonsense!
