Kinda boring...but needed to be done. New trunk gutter rails. Just to make sure they are in the right place, I'll fit the quarter panel back in place before these are welded in

Here was the last fitting yesterday. As you can see door hinges need a Fix it kit, big time sagging. But new quarter lines up with Ma's lines on what is left of the original quarter.

I didn't read all the posts, but I would sure mini tub that puppy while it is that far apart !!

Yes, There are already plans to do the mini tubing. I just want to get all the outer metal on the drivers side back in place first. Then I'll turn the car around and deal with the other side quarter panel and whatever else metal needs attention. Then I'll remove the rear end so I can get in there and do the Mini Tub work. I'm going to be changing out the original fuel tank for a fuel cell that will go in the trunk, and that means some trunk floor modifications.

Thanks for the kind words guys!

The proof is in the trunk lid fit. Those gaps or non gaps will tell the tale.

"fits like a glove" .....I think that is an original quote from OJ Simpson

No.....from Johnny Cochran, OJ's attorney....."If it doesn't fit, you must acquit"!

But nevertheless.....I am liking the way it is fitting!

I musta' got confused? (works with my wife...every time.)
:)

Dart looks good.....feel sorry for the Duster, probably getting neglected, but spring is just around the corner and the hot rods get back on the road.

Drivers side rear side window complete. Everything taken apart, cleaned, re-greased, new rollers, and reinstalled. While removing the glass the two 1/4" bolts broke off in the aluminum that holds the glass. Had to get my machine shop to cut out the broken bolts, then I tapped it and put in a 5/16" Helicoil for the two bolts that hold the glass. The white is White Lithium grease. Works perfect.

Inspiration comes in many flavors.... I liked the wheels Clint picked for his Dart so to provide inspiration while trudging forward on my Dart...these arrived today.
