Seatbelts

-
I tried junkyard belt searching and it was not successful. All the newer belt systems are so integrated into the cars you can’t use them. I wound up throwing away the ones I bought. I bought some nice shoulder belt ones from XV racing that fit the original mounting holes. They weren’t cheap, but were a lot less expensive than other options.

When crating a want ad, State exact model... 2 door, 4 door, post sedan, hard top, whatever. They aren't all the same. good luck

74 had the seat belt interlock deal. There are occupancy sensors in the seats and switches on the buckles. From what I've read you couldn't start the engine without having the belts buckled. My orange car still has this module under the hood, but the rest of the system has been bypassed and/or removed.

So, I'm assuming you or a previous owner did the same, but it still something to be aware of.

But back to the belts themselves, are you having an issue with the retractors? That's what been bugging me. Mine are really sensitive and if you don't pull the belts super slow and even, they'll grab. I'm looking at going with these, since I have the integrated shoulder/lap belts:

Our 73 Valiant of years back... I took the retractors out and cleaned away dust bunnies, hair wraps, etc,, with pick and compressed air. Couldn't see anything more I could do for/to them. They did work a lot better after cleaning.

Don't know if this helps, but there's a member on here who sells seat belts for specific models. Also has driver quality or show quality, I believe.

Thanks for the help. I will look into it next couple days when im off work.
I was like you, but found an older dodge pu that had a shoulder belt system that worked fine. I dont know the year, but maybe 89-95ish? came off fairly easy too! Works fine on the DUSTER.
