1974 Dart Sport “Desert Rat”
I also bought a 1998 Magnum 5.9L engine and just got it back from the machine shop. I’ve had the stock heads rebuilt with Hughes Engines spring set to make the stock heads work with the custom grind Bullet Racing camshaft.
I’ve gasket matched the heads for a little better flow and bought one of the last M1 dual plane Magnum intakes that Indy Cyl Heads had.
I’m using a ported 69 318 exhaust manifold on the drivers side and the factory Magnum manifold on the passenger side. 1969 style valve covers and a 1970(ish) style no snorkel air cleaner.
It should resemble a 70-71 340, but still call out as a 360 4bbl.
I decided to paint the motor orange instead of the factory blue because I just prefer it over the 72 and up blue.
It’s not original so I’m taking liberties and personalizing but trying to do it in a tasteful way and in an original style.
