1967 Dart windshield seal

I have a 1967 Dart convertible and was installing the windshield everything went well except the bottom should there be a locking strip that fits in the bottom part before the chrome gets put on?
Thanks for any advise this is the first time I have ever attempted to install a windshield hope the pic uploads
