PROJECT UPDATE:
gutted 90% of the interior today. retained enough to still be able to drive it around/in-out of the yard/garage. turns out, the car was originally a manual shift. someone at some point converted it over, including pedal assy and added this e-body shifter and a wierd mix of console brackets, but the traces of it once being a gear grinder are all there.
I located the 2nd fender tag which reads D21 code & build date of Sept 14 1970, LA manf plant. :)
