Once it's on there, it's ON THERE Bob. I don't even handle washed parts without gloves afterwards (oils in your skin can leave fingerprints). Consider the Cerakote as THE last thing your bare metal will ever have on it and plan accordingly. Like all metal finishing, prep is 98% of a great job.
