Hello Everyone,

I am having trouble finding the following part: WESTAR EM2303
It is the replacement part I need before doing on engine swap on a 1965 Dodge Dart GT with Slant Six 225 (new engine 1970 Slant Six 225).
Anyone have any recommendations on an alternative part or where I can find it?

I have tried Rock Auto, Classic Industries and most other sites, but it is not in stock anywhere and they do not know when they will be produced again.

Thank You

I think ( don't quote me ) but I think you can use the later mounts if you use the later mounting brackets ( 67-72 ). there was a post about it a while back.
or try the pioneer part number 602303 a few places come up with it under a google search

I got mine for my 64 through work. O'Reilly. Had them the next day.

Thank you everyone, these are solid recommendations, I appreciate it. Looks like I will be going with the Pioneer brand, hadn't seen that alternative. Thank You! Will be uploading updates soon.

I see 2 different listings for mounts for a slant. Both say for right side. Different part numbers.. Second pic is not very clear. Could these be left and right and description is incorrect? These should fit a '63 as well, correct ?

2303 is left side. 2304 is right side
Some application listings are wrong. I do know these fit 63-66 slant six, "A" body. Do not fit 67 up. Not sure about 60-62.

2303 & 2304 is correct for 1966 & earlier -- they are NOT exactly mirror images -- but they are Left & Right....
Some companies have indeed obsoleted / discontinued them....
I do have some N.O.S. U.S.A. made......

Just get them from RustyRatRod and have them delivered to your Oreilly.

I'm pretty sure that Pioneer, Westar, and Anchor are all made in India, perhaps at the same factory. I haven't heard that it matters much in a slant six (a very smooth engine when spark & fuel is right), but in my 1984 M-B diesel the India mounts are terrible. It makes a tremendous difference in how the engine shakes at idle, plus they sag & bulge in a few years. People try to find quality ones from Lemforder and such, apparently now made in Turkey even for M-B brand.

All our catalogs both computer and printed show the same number for both sides. The 2204. I have looked at mine and it appears they will fit, but I have not tried them yet. I will let yall know.

Your computer & printed are incorrect, sorry...
And 2204 is very, very wrong -- because 2204 & 2205 fit 1959 - 1964 Pontiac.
I am "assuming" you "typoed" 2 2 0 4.
Annnnnd, I have them -- I don't have to next day, anything.

Rob, the numbers you listed are incorrect. 2303, and 2304 are the correct numbers for the 66 and older slant six "A" body mounts. They are not the same both sides.

Correct, its 2303 and 2304, they are different for each side. I ordered one and am waiting for a shipping update, if not. I will definitely be reaching out. Have a great day!

Don't waste your time, money, and effort on any of these compressed-cow-poo mounts from India (or compressed-unwanted-girl-children-and-political-dissidents mounts from China). Get these and never have to mess with your mounts again.

I got mine at Schumacher Creative Services 206.364.7151 Micheal. Great place 2304-2303. 20.00 a piece. 18 shipping. Quality stuff. Great customer service

Schumacher has them for 40 bucks and shipping.

....and I never said those numbers were RIGHT. I just said that O'Reilly listed them as the same.

Yeah for some reason the oreillys system always had its little faults like every other auto parts dealer, but explaining that to an angry grease monkey over the counter, and you got a monkey show:mob:.

Little faults? Ha! More like the San Andreas.

LOL guess i was being too kind! Sucks to see one big *** aisle full off waxes and air fresheners polishes and one small corner which is dusty and loney, for performance parts................

Yep, $139 and never, ever have to think about the mounts again as long as you own the car. Or buy the $12 compressed-cow-poo garbage and replace them again and again and again and again. Buy junk, get junk. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
