I think you are mistaking the post lift with a spoiler unless you're talking about the small one on the trunk lid.

I think he’s talking about the one on the deck lid. I was curious about it as well after seeing the add in the “wish it was closer” thread. It looks like a clean setup.

Yeah it's body molded. Doubt it was dealer installed, too much work. Either factory or custom mod.

wow that's pretty rough looking. I find it hard to believe that the rear spoiler was a real dealer option. It looks to be much more than just a bolt-on, so I don't think that would be dealer add-on.

There was no such factory spoiler. It's someone's home-brew mod, perhaps inspired by the Corky's Cuda or a Hot Wheel. It is pretty neatly done, though.

I think 67s must have had a TOW PACKAGE ( LOL) I've seen about 5 with that hitch set up. My sons had one on it when I got it !

Ok, I quess I worded it wrong, I realize it’s not something that was done when the car was brand new, but I saw one on a car at the track and another on a car forsale at Carlisle and they all look the same. I asked about the car at Carlisle and there was a name attached to it, but I forget. I almost think there was one in a magazine years ago. Was hoping someone would know. I’m pretty sure there is more to it than some guy with a bucket of bondo in his driveway.

Seen them molded deck lid blings in the 80's.
Dont care for them personally

I think it looks good...kinda gives it a Talladega cross with a javalin look...tried to make there own savage GT style...I agree I doesn't need to be on a factory big block abody for sure....with that style it needs fender flares and 70's big metalflake with sidepipes...I miss the retros...someone needs to make a rapid transit duster clone..4 headlights give a duster an aussie look...

for Mopar anyway, 67 was a little early for rear spoilers. I believe the 66 or 67 Hemi Chargers had a very rare, optional, short, little sheet metal spoiler on the rear deck lid. I've never seen one in person, but I have seen several in pictures. The 68-69 B-bodies had a little "ducktail" built into the top of the rear quarters/decklid. Of course, with the famous 69-1/2 Daytonas and 70 Superbirds Mopar went with front and rear spoilers. The AAR & T/A had rear spoilers, and optional front spoilers, and most if not all the e-body models had optional "go-wings".
The concept show vehicles probably had all kinds of integrated spoilers.

Well it just so happens I had a 67 charger I put a 340 in and I added a yearone repop of that spoiler. It was a solid hard plastic type material. I sold the car with that spoiler on it. A few yrs later I saved a Hemi charger from the crusher with the center spoiler piece in the trunk, ends were missing. It was an original spoiler and made of a heavy solid material. The car was rusty but had the hemi Kframe, relay bracket, frame boxes and that spoiler. Held onto the car for yrs then sold it.

It seems like ABS or unlimited products also used to make those spoilers around the era of the Holley three barrel and the Thrush chambered canister "Woodpecker Muffler"... the burning question in my mind is how much coolant did that car puke out everywhere when the knee knocker A/C was running? Didn't these cars have borderline adequate cooling to start with?

Looks a little like the Savage Spoiler. And I agree, what a mess for air conditioning! Here is a Sox Barracuda with a little spoiler. Not a great image, sorry.

Barris, or SXB? Barris was bigger and had the side scoops at base of side window.

That beater looks bad *** as it is!

The Savage and Sox spoiler was actually a fiberglass trunk lid with the spoiler molded in it. This one is three different pieces. Her is a pic of the Savage I used to have...

Me either. If it was built up (filled in ) , leading up to it , where it didn`t stick up and look so chevyish-------------

I don't care for the spoiler much.
However, that car would be great to buy it and make it safe, and run the crap out of it looking as is.
That would be lotsa fun in my book.

My father had a 67 Hemi Charger that had the small spoiler on the rear deck. It's the only one I've ever seen. It looked factory.

Hey Blucuda413.... Excuse the photo of my (once upon a time when I was still a Kid) 66 Hemi Charger that I bought New from Brad's Motors in Fall River Mass. I had the "Spoiler" a 3 piece unit that was made from solid aluminum... Not an aftermarket plastic one... The Factory spoiler did exist... Wish I had kept that Hemi Charger... But as I said... I was a kid !!!!
And... I had a magnesium cross ram on that with Hooker headers... Sigh~
