Then I took the back of the tachometer apart by unscrewing the screws that held the cup on. I measured the thickness of the factory blank plastic ring and cut the same amount off the Bosch tach. This left the back of the Bosch cup to be used for the install. The black plastic ring in picture is the unused piece.
