Cut the blank gauge face off to allow the new tach face to take its place. Remember the white plastic sides of the factory gauge are the same measurement as the black plastic you cut off from the new tach, you are basically replacing the new tach cup sides (cylinder) with the factory plastic cup or cylinder. The new tach will go into the old factory plastic piece as shown.
