Replacing Rear Quarter Panel
Mine was a 72 but I think they’re the same, is this the bracket of which you speak?
If so the quarter should go over the bracket and it will sit inside the quarter, I installed mine after the quarter was fitted and welded in place. Bracket strengthens and prevents cracking in the corner.
