so I installed a 360 into my 70 swinger. It was a 318 car. Installed a kevco pan and I don’t have steering with headers as the idler arm is hitting the header. I did also install 73 duster spindle and disc brakes. But kept my idler, pitman, and drag link. I don’t have enough clearance. Do I need to change to different idler that sits down lower?

I have added spacers to raise engine and/or trans for similar problems in the past.

What mounts are you using i.e. solid, stock, Poly? That part of the pan is the stock stamping so it should clear. It looks like both your pitman and Idler are placing the steering link level. So either your mounts are messed up or you have the wrong pitman/idler combo. Was this all on the car when you had the 318?

I just looked at my and my 340 with Kevco pan has about 2" plus of clearance between the link and the pan bottom.

I ordered new pitman and idler since my old ones were worn. Stock mounts. I’m have a couple shims I’m gonna life the engine up remove them and shim the pass side up, I did the driver side to clear the steering column. In a couple hours if it’s not raining out gonna shim some more

Just throwing this out there as the picture appears to show no trans attached. Is the engine on the angle where the trans will actually put it?
