On reason good results can be had with acrylic enamel/urethanes is the speed of the reducer. A slower reducer will give a wetter glossier look. If using bc/cc this is not a factor.

LIke said above, hvlp guns can he had for cheap and a good painter can do plenty good with them with some practice and knowledge. Auto acrylic urethane can be found as good stuff and cheaper than bc/cc. The work in sanding,tape, sanding primers, wax grease remover, tape, is high and why not find a way to do better than spray cans?
