I just bought one of my dream cars, ‘67 Notch with a 273. It was built by my fathers best friend. It runs great, it’s only got about 350 miles on the engine and tranny from when he built it 2 years ago. He told me when he took it apart to build it he found out it’s been bored .40 over. He honed the cylinders, re ringed it, all new bearings and such. He left the cam and solid lifters in place but made sure the lift and everything were within specs and no flat lobes. He had the heads milled and spec’d, re-seated and it was all put back together with new Edelbrock dual-plane intake and carb and ceramic headers. The thing sounds great! Runs great! Looks awesome! But I can’t spin the tires on wet pavement. It’s fairly lackluster in the performance department...what can I do to make this thing GO!!!????
