I have a 69 barracuda FB, my rear seat does not fold down, I would like it to so I know the rear seats are different but how different are the hinge parts from a 65 barracuda, I have to start somewhere because I don't know what the 69 seat back hinges look like. if that's a no go the search goes on.

I just did some work on my 69. The service manual has some pretty good pictures. I don’t know but I’d guess the first generation are different.

Here you go 3404spdfish..

Please note the bracket that attaches to the inner wheel well on both sides of the car. The seat has a cam actuated release mechanism that allows the seat to lock in the upright position and using a release lever on the back side of the upper seat section to actuate the cams to release the seat so it can fold. I'm pretty sure the early Cuda system is different.

Don't forget the release mechanism within the seat. Is best to acquire a complete rear seat w/ hinges.

I can assure you that the early Barracudas are different. No point in looking at their parts. I would agree that you probably need to source the entire seat & hinge set-up.

Yep, fold-down seat optional in 1969 for the first time. As already mentioned, totally different than 64-66. You will need the correct seat back for sure.
