Im working on assembling my car and have a couple questions. First is the radiator support to K frame brace. I have two different ones but neither fit. Im looking for measurements and possibly a pic of the correct one. Im attaching a pic of the ones I have . The black one is 10" long and 8 3/4" center to center bolt holes. The green one is 9 7/8" long and 8 3/4" center to center bolt holes. Both of these are too long to fit on my car.
Second question is the L bracket that the grill attaches to. What kind of hardware is supposed to go here (see pic). I figured J nut but I cant figure out how it would work in this large hole.

Let me see if I can help you out, I went out and took a few pictures lets start with the bracket from the rad support to the K-frame,

These are the original fasteners that hold this bracket on, this one is a bolt with a round head on it that if I remember correctly goes thru a square hole on the rad support. Like a stove bolt it has a square neck on it that prevents it from turning in the square hole.

The bolt at the K-frame is a self taping type bolt, you can slightly see the thread cutting edge running the length of the bolt,

My bracket is slightly longer then 10 inches and the bolt centre to bolt centre distance is 7 3/4 inches,

On the bracket that holds the grille tab i have two pictures one from below and front the other from inside the wheel well,

Hope that helps you out with your project,

Does your L bracket have an alignment tab? If so, does it fit in that slot?

That’s an awesome restoration you did on your Canadian Special. Your restoration thread was excellent.

Thanks for the nice comment, seems to me you started checking it out from the very beginning, won’t be long till they sweep the streets and the cruising can start.
