Annual Ant Invasion

-
Teeny itsy bitsy ants all over the kitchen table (which is clean by the way). Don't know how they can be so small and still have all their body parts. Swept and blew (leaf blower) everything around the doors and windows outside. Sprayed some "lawn and garden" bug killer. No change, still invading my space.

Moved some boxes in the corner of the room and found a small crack in the grout of the tile floor. Vacuumed the dirt/dust there and sprayed some bug killer in the crack. Came back an hour later to find a black layer of dead ants on the floor. That's one battle I've won, but Spring has just begun.

One time in my twenties after I bought my home I got pissed and tired of them.

Tired of fighting their eternal onslaught.

I got five or six dogfood-sized ant killer chemical compound bags and covered the entire lawn (TWICE) in six times the amount of spread across the lawn.

I killed all the worms, mole crickets, moles, crickets, spiders, ants-every insect and mole climbed up on top of the lawn and died a horrible death, and then I realized that these chemicals go back into our (only 3 feet down) water table, so I never repeated that massacre.
For a few months I could walk barefoot on my lawn like I could as a kid in Nebraska.
