Not to Hijack your thread but wife and I are looking for places to retire. On paper Murphy looks good. Housing reasonable. Climate, and scenic, near lakes, but we haven't traveled there yet. Possibly this spring. Met someone locally a while back who was with the police in Murphy. Said it was a nice place but not getting that from comments here. Would appreciate any input.
