73' B3 340 Duster pro touring build

-
That's a nice car but I'm looking for a home built car.... not a mega dollar build the owner just wrote a check for to have someone else do all the work.
Yeah I'm with ya man. Don't get me wrong, high dollar show cars are cool but to me, they don't exhibit the passion and heart put into them. that's why I'm doing as much as I can on mine, not just cause of money but because I want the car to reflect me

Ross, your Duster deserves a photoshoot.
I haven't see the build progress in a while and my jaw hit the table when I saw how far its come.

Its truly beyond words and only pictures do it justice... Well ok, it really needs videos but we all can settle for some more pictures. :)

On a side note, do you plan on going to Mopars in The Park in Mn this year?
If so, I will have my Canon 70D with. If luck, weather and people are permitting you should end up with some sweet pictures and maybe a few rum and cokes.
O' if you haven't tried Bumbu Rum, you NEED to. http://www.bumbu.com/home.php Best rum ever made and nothing else has tasted like it that I've tried.

this Duster is a masterpiece.....but sold and somewhere in the state of Washington. Ross is already in full blown tear down to fully restore his rare 71 (?) 340 Cuda.....a car he owned years ago

you dont happen to know where he posted the build thread on it at do you?

So the car has been gone almost 2 years and this showed up today at the house. I text the new owner his car is in June Mopar Action. Looking back after reading the story, I'm starting to realize the amount of work and customization that went into the car. Still no published picture of the Dual Fast Throttle bodies, looks like it could just be a damn single carb under the air cleaner. Cliff gave a few nice shout outs to Hemi Denny and Hemi Mark for their guidance, assistance and help in spending my money.

Still love this car.

Can't believe it's been that long. You and that car deserve all the recognition that it gets!!
Congrats.
How is the Cuda coming along?

there is a lot of trick in this build....like the Flash, pictures do not tell the whole story. Still, the best part of this build was becoming buddies with Ross and Dave.

..the Cuda' is coming along as expected when dealing with body shop people, the Duster was gone for just over 2 years, 2 1/2+ is you count all the pieces like fenders, bumpers and hood that came later. The Cuda' body was been gone just over a year but is moving along finally, I plan on taking it to a Mopar specific shop for body and paint after the frame rust issues are fixed. The date correct motor is in final assembly, the interior components are all restored and the front and rear suspension sub-assemblies are finished and ready to go also. Once the body is finally done it should go together very fast.

That is true, its been 6 months since my dad passed away but one thing he always looked forward to was our get together's.... they were epic on most occasions and always good for several laughs, it was really disappointing to him that he couldn't attend the Mopar Nats last year due to his failing health.

Ross, I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He sounded like a great guy.

Cuda pics look great.
One thing about this build as opposed to the Duster.... You KNOW how it's going to go back together. You dont have all of those head scratching decisions to make which MAY reduce the amount of cocktails consumed during reassembly!

Great car, great build and even better friends. Congratulations on the magazine. should have been on the cover. Ross, where did you buy that trick engine/trans and rear end carts? :>)

I will never reduce the amount of cocktails !!!! Although to be clear I always consumed after working on the car, never during ...too many bad things can happen with that combination.

I know you might find this hard to believe but ...I made them. The good think is I hate to store stuff like that so after I’m done with them I will pass them off to you or Denny.

I really dig your assermbly fixtures.
Thanks, I’ve got some heavy duty ones made out of 2”X2” 1/4” wall for the body cart and engine/transmission installation dolly. The one on the picture was made just for the suspension assembly, I’ll transfer everything to the heavy duty one when the motor is ready.

I got my MA in the mail yesterday and saw the Duster. (Of course I've seen it in person too) Those yahoos who write the magazine articles are wearing thin with me. Lame attempts at humor, etc.

Very sorry to hear about your dad, didn't know that.

Anyway, congratulations Ross and will look for you at the Mopar shows this summer.

Thanks ...I’ll be around at a few local shows this year
