Hemi Bellhousing and Small Block

Early engines had integral bells.
Later engines will match up to a small block.

Not all of them. There was only one with the extended bell. And I don't know if they are the same as LA, doubt it. Likely starter mount differences if not more
 
I thought the crank on the hemis stick out an extra inch, so a spacer nessesary. Hot heads down in NC has the scoop on all that stuff.
 
Here are the pics. I could take it off and try but I have a lot of crap to move to get to it. Thought someone may know.

If you're running a manual trans with the integral bell the adapter may be as simple as a flat plate of the correct dimension and thickness.
