I have seen this mentioned on the board many many times, so I would try searching for it. It is a common procedure. People have also posted the patterns for where to drill the holes for the clips.
Redfish: I don't see the point in changing the gaskets without installing the stainless trim. How does that look any better than the 67 gasket with no lock strip? The stainless looks nice and finished, like a contemporary Mustang or Camaro.
