MP Super Commando Heads

I, for one, appreciate the blunt honesty of your posts about your experience with the heads.

What bore are you running them on?
Flow numbers on that bore?
Intake valve size they came with?
Are you using that size valve?
Do they come with 11/32 or 5/16 stem valves?
Do they use 5/16 or 3/8 rocker hold down bolts?

Never had a set in my shop, but from what I read it sounds like they are similar/the same as the Indy T/A heads.
Those use 5/16 stem valves and 3/8 rocker hold down bolts(according to the catalog).

My prediction is that the TF SB Mopar head will have a bigger impact on the SB market than the BB head had, since there are less similar options for SB’s....... and there’s a bigger gap between what they offer for the $$$ vs the competition.

I predict it won’t be long at all before someone has a set making 600hp, right ootb, on a pretty basic 408/416.
Wow. Now I'm crying even harder lol

I went and dug out my dart file from my office...

280 at 650 lift...sad...thought they did better. And that's EXCESSIVE porting. Imo. Like $1k worth at employee cost at the time at TEA.

Had 1100 in block maching... made 608 on the dyno at 7400 though.

Anyways. Valve size is as delivered but was not matched to that the instructions said. I think is stated 2.08, 1.6 and these were 2.10. And .16x forgive my memory but I remember both were wrong. Why I advised above that literature nowhere is correct on these. Large valve stem.
They did take 3/8 rocker arm bolts.

Kinda shows how much the TFS heads are going to blow the market up IMO. I wonder if TEA (TFS) used my dumper heads to learn from as they designed these lol when I was there they did have a edelbrock mopar head that was all bondo'd up, I remember talking with them about how that head was going to be huge once they got it perfected....in the next 10 years
Shows how long this stuff takes to come to market sometimes.
