MP Super Commando Heads

Thanks Johnny, PN is almost the same. Mine is a little bit different then yours. On the front of head has the PN P5153850. This must be the PN for a assembly head and P5155128 would be a bare head.

I made some tests in my flowbench using different bore sizes to understand how the bore size really matter in the flow. I flowed Edelbrock heads, 2.02" intake vales in 3.940", 4.000" and 4.060". Difference between 3.940" and 4.060" was 2cfm. Not a big deal IMHO.

I guess i'm confused on your previous post where you noted some flow numbers. So have you bench flowed THESE heads? or your 300 CFM was in reference to actual edelbrocks?

What do these MP heads, with a 2.08 valve, flow on a 4.00 bore @600 lift? Have you flowed the yet?

Edelbrocks with a normal 2.02 wouldn't be affected much by the bore sizes i agree. From my understanding the 2.08+ on a 4.00 bore...the valve is so large that its shrouded by the small bore size, and actually kills flow because air can't move around the smaller space left between the cyl wall, and the edge of the valve. I'm not an expert by any means, so i'm not "challenging" your first hand experience. Just looking at what mine flowed on a 4.030 out of the box, and even after trickflow ported them...I honestly do not believe you can touch 300 with these on a 4.00 bore. If you can, your porting skills are phenominal. i know you don't need my gratification or approval.lol I'm just genuinely interested in the results you get, as almost noone else has these. So i now have someone else to compare to.
