Why are there so few blown small blocks?

Here is a photo of mine. Finally figured out how to upload a photo from my phone. 671 Littlefield on w2 heads. I am pretty sure the intake was a tunnel ram that someone cut and attached the plate for the blower to sit on.

I love it, can't top the sound they make

That's totally sick! Please tell me the headers go straight out the sides of the fenders!?...
j par, they sure do, exit is above the front tires thru the fender. The car was so low I didn't have enuff room to build zoomies that came under the frame. Also after I built fore/aft limiters there just wasn't much room. I'm sure a professional could have built them but this was much easier and cheaper. All I can say is they are really loud!!!

I thought I seen where and I know you probably don't want any restriction but they have little inserts for the pipes to kind of calm them down just a little bit? Maybe something you could put in for the street and take out for the track? I know my headers go down into about a foot of pipe into Cherry Bomb switch you can see straight through and then kick out at the side. When I rev it up people like cringe and back off a little bit and go goddamn that's loud!

Rusty, click on the link I put up and scroll down.
The fire power hemi is bad ***, and if I'm not mistaken you have one that needs the Dyers treatment.

:lol::poke::steering:

Find an affordable small block blower manifold. I'll just wait right here.

Dyers Blowers is about 10 miles from me... Southwest suburbs of Chicago....

Very good family business...

Gary Dyer Jr is known for his ability to modify carbs to work with blowers...

You heard me, white-hot torch!
Are you seriously expecting me to drive over to Vancouver to collect for cope? I'd be fifty bucks in gas round trip to get the money...
I mean really what is your game? You go over to moparts and play mad scientist for 6 months, then come over here and play Yellow Rose for another 6 months?
You made the announcement "this will happen?" Even though I wasn't prepared at the time I was still making preparations when you personal messaged me and said you were going to be there on Saturday? I told you I really didn't have the money to do it but since I do what I say and say what I do I was going to come anyways... Then poof! You're gone without a word until now? Or though when one would look over a Moparts there you are technical advice and all...
Cope and I are always good, but I can tell you I'm not completely pleased with him letting you off the hook so damn easily especially the way you just drop everything and then just come back like nothing happened. I think both of us would be satisfied with a picture of a check written out to Doernbecher's or something... Honestly I don't see why Rusty Rat Rod or anybody takes any of your advice no matter how good it may seem especially when you act like, I don't mean to be saying this without you in front of me but not cool. You know I'm one not to call people names over the Internet because I think that's real chickenshit but gosh dang look at the way you've been acting..
how about a simple I'm sorry I wish I would have at least let everybody know I wasn't going to be able to make it this year and we could try again next year or maybe not at all. Leave people hanging with no word? Please don't give me the personal tragedy stuff especially when you're over on Moparts jabbering away...
and for the record I just ask my wife what she thinks of your shenanigans and she thinks you're a "goofball" was her exact words..

TLDR; but if you need 50 bucks gas money to go from where you live to Vancouver you must have a D8 Cat for a daily driver.

I would say your wife should know a goofball when she sees one. She defiantly married one!!! LOL.

BTW, I was in Vancouver for two weeks and never once did you invite me to dinner? WTH?

BTW, I can spend 5 minutes on moparts and see all there is. FABO is a big time eater. And time I don't have much of.

I’d build that little 162ci B&M blower kit I have on a nicely built 318, but I just don’t have anything to put that motor in right now. So that blower kit I have is just gonna stay on the shelf for now.

I've done the blower on tunnel ram but we put it on top where the carb's go with some braces
"the higher and the mighteyer"
backfire blew it all to hell

Well you can run a “front offset” blower. The extra length is added to the front providing the exact same distributor clearance you have now. There’s no additional charge for an offset blower, it’s just assembled backwards.

Indy’s offset distributor is around $800 and is required with their ModMan manifold unless modifications are made to the manifold and blower adapter.
Besides one must add a pop off valve to the ModMans intake manifold

You'll still have to notch the firewall with the offset drive.

I could probably get by without notching because my engine is 2" forward (long story). I also sectioned 2" out of the firewall around the tunnel. It turned out ok I still have 50/50 weight distribution and I can easily get to the bellhousing bolts from the engine bay.

2in forward that's interesting?

I fully salute all you crazy people.

While I could buy a junkyard LS, throw a set of NRE twins, some block fill, a meth kit and make 1,200 plus on an engine dyno for one pull.

I'd rather spend stupid money and see how much power one of these LA blocks can handle.

Here is an early picture since this I have put a alum protector around the exhaust outlet and installed a lower front air dam that is 3" above the floor. Hope to get some better pictures soon.

You can make 1200hp with twins without the meth injection, all in the tune and intercooler. But blowers are cool, the sound just sings out.
My old set up all under a stock hood, built by maddart:

Really nice Matt EFI hidden somewhere
our 1200 ho we cooled with rich methanol
the next year we were to have a new chassis and would fit intercoolers
but they changed the rules on us

Yeah that pic was before maddart added it, just showing the under stock hood. Here's my engine for the new setup dont mind the headers those wont be used. Bummer about the no intercoolers, if that route yes you would need methanol, mine has two air/waters inside the front part of the fenders.

I would really like to do a single turbo, or a bitchen procharger on my 408.. but at 11.5:1 comp i'll definitely have to build a kick *** fuel injection system to make it not melt down.

You can look at modern muscle cars they are about the same comp. just have a run lower boost levels. Newer cars run like 8 psi maybe 10 but that it due to their higher compression, I could be wrong on the psi but sure close.

Yea the only reason they survive is the ability to change timing anywhere in the curve. Hell with the right fuel and system I could run lots of boost, but then it turns into a race car at that point. Lol
