Yep, I have had that experience. Takes a lot of polishing to get the clear stuff to look clear. Kind of negates the cost advantage if you have to do a lot of hand work to get it where you want it. Have found that exposure to fluorescent light for a period of time helps.
One of the printer vendors has a picture of a wine glass they printed on their website. Looks perfect. I wonder how long it took to get it that clear....
