Joey, do what you want. I meant to offer a suggestion, not a debate.

Don't think I haven't been watching, cause I have.. Ever since you started this thread...

Here is the thing. It would be very hard to come up with a definition that would work. How do I set the guidelines? It's a hard thing to do, and even harder to enforce. In general, my position is no nudity and no politics. Some people will push those limits. In the end our mods are spending time trying to decide if something pushes the limits too much instead of more pressing things like dealing with people who cannot seem to learn to not comment in for sale ads.

Personally, I don't like censorship. I don't like to subject others to my judgement unless its pretty clear and convincing. Now, I have seen a few avatars and asked the member to change it, but even that is rare and I 'ask' instead of instruct the member to make the change.

That said, what we've been doing for 15 years seems to be working fine, and I'm not terribly inclined to make a change at this time.

If a particular avatar bothers you, you can always ask the member to change it yourself. Perhaps if you ask nicely he'll comply. If not, then you can put that member on ignore so you wont see his posts (and thus his avatar)...
