Bench 4 speed, nice!

Are you looking for pics, or where to get, or both?

I bought the Schumacher poly mounts after rebuilding my engine, and the passenger side failed multiple times.
I know I posted a thread all about it.

Drilled a hole thru the driver side and put a bolt in it, put a chain on the engine to the k frame, heat shield over the passenger mount. Still failed.

The passenger poly-loc is in the wrong direction, if you ask me, should be front to back, it's up/down. Once the motor twists to the passenger side it slides apart.
Causes the driver side to fail.

Went back to factory rubber mounts, powder coated from Schumacher. Passenger mount twisted and bent.

I finally drilled a hole thru the passenger poly mount as well and put a bolt in it top to bottom.

I think it failed again.

Some say I'm crazy, theirs never fail, but I have a tunnel ram and it's easy to see when the motor moves or is leaning.

That probably didn't help at all!
My apologies.

On original BB engines in "A" cars, not only did the block have the the two forward bolt holes threaded, but the factory cut off the rear, unused "ear". So in an original car , both will be present.

That is how my 383 is !

You are a lucky guy. Am just finishing a similar resto, '68 cuda FB, BB, 4-sp. If you are trying to be correct, note all your numbers, engine and tranny, and VIN numbers on both for future reference. Good luck.

I got the full report by Galen Govier
All numbers match , just no broadcast sheet.
Back seat missing when got car

Well you have the data plate, and vin. With these, a new broadcast sheet can be made. Pretty color its going to be by the way. I am partial to blue.

Just an FYI, your steering centerlink in pic #4 looks incorrect for a 68. That looks like a 73-76 A body centerlink. Correct A body 67-72 center link should look like this.

Only thing thats different is the idler arm. 67 1 year only k frame because of idler arm and mount. Here is pix of 67 K frame i am modding to the 68-76 style idler arm mount. You can see the old mount attached in first pic.

No big block mount stuff. Thats the correct link 67-72. That link for new mounts they seemed fairly reasonable for new big block mounts.

Ah, How Sweet !!!
Ha ha, Thanks Man .
Just so much work ! But I can do it, just will take awhile. Not to mention $$$.

Just being honest brother. You do nice work. Can i ship you my 67 in a container?

Its like eating a whole elephant. You can do it. One plate at a time.

Did you ever get your R&P you needed. I cant remember what gear ratio, and carrier it was.

Yes , found a 3.91 for a 741 case NOS. Could not believe it. So damn hard to find. But needed it for my Form. S. and got it for a very fair price.
I Be happy to restore your car for u.
Haha , For a Very Fair price !

I found a guy in virginia that has a 741 case with a 3.91 and he wanted to sell it for 3.55s i told him you were looking but he said your thread on that was dead so you must have gotten what you needed. I was trying to network you 2 together.

Mahalo, i got 355 but only for 742 and 489 case. Many thanks for the help. Haha I Can use all the help i can get. Almost no parts available here in the islands. If anyone has it, they wont sell it !
