Nice! I have a ways to go before I place that order. Congratulations!

I'm along way away from there. But one step at a time
Are those the 270 heads and if they are use the elderbrock Victor Max intake on it take the bumpers off the car stripped interior I don't know what you got for Tire use the 600 roller cam and the 950 carb that they recommend it'll scream is the car back aft can you get a 32-14 on it slick if you if it's a 505 block it'll push over 700

It's a leaf spring car. 72 Dart. Dana 60 3:73 gear. 727 with a brake 5500 conv. I plan on a 28 10.5 tire. 500/440 13.1 comp Trick Flow 240 heads. 2in headers. Cam is a custom grind Cam Motiin solid roller 296 duration .674 lift with a 1.6 rocker. I'll be running a mopar performance tunnel ram with two 750 vac sec. Car should fly.

Everything I listed I have in the shop ready to go. Except for for tires and wheels. I've got the springs moved into the frame rails. I have not got the inner tubs cut out. I have to build the motor and get the machine work done. Trans and conv I have out of old race car. They are good . But I will freshen up all the lips in the tranny. Send the conv back to JW in Floridia to get flushed and looked at. Just stuff. Just baby steps. I'm real fortuate that I have the skills to do all this myself. But i have been diag with Parkinsons Diease. So dealing with that. Losing my job that i had for 30 yrs . But I'm not giving up at all. But I'm slow. But I'm thinking this dude will be a beast.

Glad to see you’re making the best of it. Building cars is such a process. Unless you have a ton of duckets it’s sometimes hard to see the green grass at the end of the build!

I do have two sons. 27 and 19. They don't have the skills other than my 27 yro is my welder. I'm going to let them build the motor with me right in the middle of it so i can show them how to do it right . Then we will rip this 727 apart and i will show them how to build a tranny. It's just going to be slow. None of it is hard. But i will have to show them all the little things that are huge problems if not right. I'm not in control. God is. But i am committed. That i am. My dad bought this car 20 yrs ago. He always wanted me to build it with him. And i just didn't get it done. Now he is dead. So now i will get it done for him. Now im sick. Lost my job of 30 yrs. Money is very tight just to live. Must less build a car. But once again im selling a bunch of my toys and parts to build this car. I just need stuff now. Rings , bearings ,oil pump, gaskets, seal kit for tranny. I will get this car running with my last.breath lol.

Much like mine , READ , "severe traction problems !" Wish I`d tubbed mine when building it in the first place .
Same gear, my convertor is a little tighter, my heads flow more than urs , no brake , not slicks/but same size sticky tires , same size headers , smaller custom ground cam for fuel inj. , 1200 cfm throttle body , absolutely no front end lift , just anialates the tires upon the hit.
Only reason I don't tub it is , I`m 72 , and don't want a torn down hot rod scattered all over the place in case something would happen health wise. No one in my family would have a clue what to do. They would probly give it a way, or let some one talk them out of it !
If God would tell me to go ahead and tub it , I would-----------LOL
My advice would be bigger tires for sure !

If you're retired you could probably tub the car and two weeks the rear ends five grand wheels and tires or thousand a piece breaks another 650 the frame kit from S&W is about 5 you got a welder drink two beers put a new blade in a Sawzall don't be afraid

Dad always told me to start at the back. Doesn't matter how much power you have. If you can't put it on the ground you have did nothing. I'm also going to put Kim Smith bars on my leaf springs . this dude should hook.

Ladder bar the cars it's the easiest you can get lost with a 4-link but you can make a 4-link hook harder ladder ladder bar car is easy just make the bottom of the ladder bar level with the Earth and level with the car tack everything welded you got to have the tires on the car in the rear end later bar to the rear end and to your front crossmember it'll hit so hard and be like somebody hit the back of the seat with a ball bat

Good luck on your build...I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in October 2017..... I can relate.... I am plugging away on remodeling my house and hopefully will get a new motor in my Duster....nothing as hot as what you are building
