Had kind of an *** kicker of a day today. It's hot and I had to realy bust my *** to meet a deadline.

Got home and decided to take the race car out for a drive. Stopped at the liquor store on the way home and all of a sudden smokey and the bandit pops into my head.
I buckled my cargo in and tore *** outta there like Buford T Justice was on my tail!

Well I made it across the state line and now it's time to enjoy the fruits of my labor! Got no work scheduled for tomorrow and a quick job on Saturday so here's to you!

never liked the mountain piss water, But do I dig Jerry ! Hate it that he died so young. I had an old 33 record of his many yrs ago, he was definitely talented .

That's why theres more than one type made.

If we all liked the same things, life would be quite boring!

I haven't drank beer or been down the beer aisle in years. when did coors go to the cool bottle.
When I last bought coors, the choice was cans or tall bottle

Have one for me. I couldn't stop at just 1 or 12. I sure do miss drinking beer.

Coors was bought out by Miller in 2008. Part of the deal was that the gold can full load coors would continue to be made in Colorado.

The Coors Light was moved to Miller breweries around the country. Including the one I worked at in Ohio.
So Miller is the parent company of coors now.

HA, Miller was bought out by Budweiser a couple of yrs ago !!

Miller and Coors are part of SAB/Miller out of South Africa!

Bud is now part of InBev out of Belgium!

On a somewhat related note, I stumbled into a case of "Dixie Blackened Voodoo" last month.

That brewery in Louisiana got trashed by hurricane Katrina.
I thought they were finished but apparently the brand got picked up by an outfit in Memphis.

tastes like I remember it. One of my all time favorites.
They were just starting to get mainstream market share right before the hurricane.

Mickeys bigmouth in the Little Hug type bottles. You can throw them out of a sunroof up to 56mph before they break.

I remember when Coors was brought into Atl by flight crews since it wasn't available here. It was the mystic about it.
Guinness was only sold in one place here too.
Ever seen the Mad Men episode were they are going to.market Heinekin in grocery stores?
So much marketing hype.
Well I'll just take a Red Cap ale.
Can't get that here anymore either.
(I know. Not the same thing)

I remember once back when I was 16 driving my car getting off the exit where I lived. There was a small package laying in the weeds by the stop sign for about a month. One day I stopped and picked it up opened it up and it was a 6 pack of Coors cans with the punch top. That was back around 73 -74. And you couldn't buy Coors in MO . Stuck it in some ice and drank it. It was probably all flat and out dated but at 16 who cared. It was Coors !!!!

good on you Cope! from what I have seen recently you've been busy as hell and had a few bumps in the road - eventually ya just gotta take a day or three!
Beer? Heineken was my go to for a long time.. but it can be hit or miss if it hasn't been kept properly and it gets old spending that kind of $$ and ending up with skunk piss. I recently got on to Becks via my brother-in-law and then last summer I tried Leinenkugels - both are good stuff. Like Cope said, there's a reason there are so many different kinds, it would be boring if we all liked the same thing.

Remember the little Miller pony bottles ..24 to a case.. 7 oz. Bottles.

I remember them, sure was a lot of skunk taste in miller back then. Was TOSS UP WHEATHER A GUY WOULD GET GOOD BEER , OR SKUNK PISS .----------LOL

There are only 2 kinds of beer....
Bud and Free...lol
BACK WHEN I WAS YOUGER, I COULD SMELL BUDWEISER WHEN SOME ONE OPENED ONE, SMELLED AND TASTED LIKE YEAST TO ME .
Fricken caps button !

I am more of a PBR guy.
Used to drink Bud until price went up...
A friend of mine coined that phrase and I thought it was funny. He knew a guy at the Bud Distributor warehouse and got super cheap Bud .

He had a fridge in his garage full of nothing but Bud ...all arranged by date code and labels facing out !

OCD ?
