Update..
I finally scaled my car. 2728lb with me in it, I was giving you guys the info I was told when I bought it.
After a new thumper carb and Larry smith ported the heads, they now flow 398 at .700. And a new victor intake ported by Larry. Here are the 1/8 mile times. I haven't run 1/4 mile yet this year.
I also have 1.65 rockers to install. Haven't thrown them on. Also just installed a new DIS ignition system and a sledgehammer plate kit.

I should have some slips for you guys soon with the DIS ignition and with the nitrous. I'd like to get a 5.5 slip NA and then see if I can get in the 4s next season with the nitrous. My rings arent gapped for a big hit so ill have to see what a 200hp shot does this year.

Thank ya there Mr. HotRod.

Hey! While you are getting some pictures.... LOL

How about a few of the DIS set up? For those that don’t know how or what it looks like?
(Ehhh, who am I kidding, eye candy is always good!)

W8 9.2 R3/ 4” crank 6” rod by Molnar/ crane gundrilled cam, Jessel 1.5 rockers, 90’s 1050 8896 dominator resurrected by Thumpercarbs, 904 trans Dynamic 8” converter that was updated upgraded by Lenny at Ultimate. This pass was on the *** end for 1/2 the track. 60ft was rear tires as it cut some 1.24 increments at Tucson a month prior. We were able to manage things at 26.6 uncorrected baro, the 29.9 at Irwindale presented some “issues”.

Finally got out to the 1/4 mile track at Rock Falls WI. The weather was perfect with 70 degrees and sunny. This was the first time at this track with these heads. So now I get to move from the 10 sec to the 9 sec forum. The car is a white 1976 feather duster gutted out to be a racer. Here are the details

Replaced torsion bars with Viking coil over shocks from QA1
Stock K member
I launch just off idle at about 1900 RPM and seem to be going through the traps at 6,700. I shift at 6,400 but it seems to be falling off in power by then.
The car weighs 2,800 or 3,000 with driver and gas. This calculates to about 650 HP.
No nitrous or turbo or electronics.

I'm pretty happy with this, but you always start thinking about what could be done next. Selling the torqueflite and get a powerglide, would be the next logical step I suppose. Any suggestions? Oh, and the timeslip was my best the yesterday, but I redlighted cause I couldn't see the last amber in the setting sun and tried to leave on the second last light and guessed wrong. The other driver saw my redlight in his mirror and let off. The competition is stiff and if you don't get a good light, you can forget it.

The engine was built almost entirely based upon Andy's book How to Build Max Performance Mopar Big Blocks. This book should be required reading for any big block driver. The car and engine and transmission was homebuilt in a two stall garage with only ordinary machine work and the roll cage done by outside help.

Certainly not the only way to get into the 9s but this seems to work.

Very nice at #3350, are those the cnc 245 360-1's ?

Justin do you have a photo of your car? I love that combo.

I do, but I'll have to get my external drive out of the safe and load them on my computer. Something happened during an update and I lost every file on the computer.

Not officially a 9 second pass but the calculators say it would have been. What do you guys think? This is in my 71 Dart weighing 3,500 lbs with me in it. Procharged 414 cubic inch small block.
