Thought these EQ cylinder heads were 62 cc in the combustion chamber from the factory.
I cc'd the heads today that Brian at IMM did for me and the cc's averaged 65.4 cc's with the 2.02 valves installed.
I know there is factory tolerance but is this normal?

Maybe they weren't... maybe the valve head style is recessed cup instead of flat and made the diff...maybe the valve seats were set lower to achieve middle ground with a spring height requirement.

Have them milled, if they clear the intake valves of course... otherwise disassemble first then mill. Good luck!

You are correct in thinking they were supposed to be 62cc even with Hughes 2.02 valve.
I copied and pasted this right off their website.

HUG 4676

Ask Brian at IMM and ask Him what gives . Who would know better ? Someone on this forum who wasn't there ?
Brian didn't mill the heads so they are stock factory so I thought someone on the forum would know.
I will phone Brian today and find out what they actually cc's of the EQ heads are.

Had the set I purchased new from Clearwater Cyl Heads with a few thousand miles cc'd by PRH and they were 64.5 cc's This was after a new guides, and clean up, etc. 1.92" valves.
