Hey guy's I have a 1974 dodge dart sport 360 I am wondering what the biggest tire and wheel for height and width without having to modify anything I have air shocks in the rear and on gas adjust up front thanks

N50-15s on 10s;About a 13" section and 28 tall
The modern equivalent might be 325/50-15s
The hard part will be to get the correct offset wheels.
With the springs in the stock location, the tires will have to stick out past the bodyline.
With the offset kit,and a narrowed rear end, I managed to get them into the allotted space on 4.5bs wheels.

But it don't make a difference in straighline work on a streeter; the tires still spin to past the speed-limit.
And 295s fit easier and keep the back in the back, and are easier to power-slide with.

What size rim and what type of tire? I.e. Slicks, drag radial, Mud terrain, Sand paddle, etc.

What is you current suspension and brake setup?

Here is a 74 dart sport 360 I had a couple years ago, the wheels are torque thrust D's 15x10, 3-3/4 back spacing with BFG 295-50-15's rear end is 8-1/4. I had 295's on 8in. Weld wheel's before the Torque thrust when I had it, they were really close to the springs.

I would say 255-60-15's work really well. 8 inch wheel with 4 1/4 backspace. You should measure your backspace for a perfect fit. Just google how to measure wheel backspace

You are correct!
That's exactly what I am running on my Demon, they do work well and no rubbing.

If I could,I would run 255s on the front, but with a 4bbl 360,never on the back.
On the back 255s used to spin me out every time I put just a tiny bit too much throttle in a corner; not good in traffic. It was like driving on gravel. And when I wipe out, my go-to reaction is a 4-wheel lock. And 255s have very little braking in the sideways direction. Extremely little. IMO,they don't make a 4bbl carb small enough to safely run a 325hp (at that time) engine, on 255s. Probably not 275hp either.
Now;with 295s,and 4oo plus hp, I can run my 750DP at any throttle opening I choose, and the car goes where I point it, tires screaming, in second gear. Occasionally full-lock steering is not enough. At these times I put a lil toe on the clutch and the car snaps back into line, the 295s once again at roadspeed, and biting, no braking required. Lest you think second gear is nothing, my combo is capable of hitting over 80mph in second. Sadly, sideways, I am not, lol.
But I just gotta say, 255s do a really good job of keeping the rearend up off the pavement. So with a stock 360, I guess they'd be Ok.
But that was not OPs question. Op asked

And since in 1977/78, I had a Fire-Engine-Red,1974 360 Dart Sport 4-gear, with airshocks, and N50-15s on it; I know for sure they fit on there. Wonder no more.

I have a dart sport with an 8 1/4. I want to run custom offset rallys but was unsure of backspace judging by pics on the silver dart sport I can probably get 15x10's with 4" backspace and be right on the edge of inner quarters which is what I want! Even if I have to trim inner lip in quarters.:D

What rear does the Demon have? I read that the dart sport you had before was an 8 1/4 rear which is narrower than a 8 3/4.
The Demon has a 8 1/4 also, complete drive train is from a 73 340 duster. I wish I had kept the 15x10's for the Demon, they work well with the 8 1/4's.

That should work, the 3 3/4 back space still had room from the spring's.

Now have 15x7 with 4 1/4 backspace but spring is close. And this set up looks ok but not filled in as nicely as your dart or demon!
