At 9 years old, I stood in a 2.5 hour line in 1977 to see the original.

The week before, the line was over 4 hours.

I mail ordered from a cereal box, a set of action figures.

Turns out those were the first ever produced and weren't in the collector guides until 2010!

I made my own light saber replica in 1977 from a golf bag club protector and a flashlight.

Beating the actual toy to market by almost a whole year.

Did not see until 1980 when we watched on a beta tape. Been a geek ever sense. LOL.
I was 16 when it came out and we joked about it being a kiddie movie.
Boy was i wrong.

I was 16 when the star wars slang started & I realized a wookie was not just a star wars character but a part of female anatomy.
Done deal for me at that point.lol

Wookies were the norm in my youth and still will bow before one today. :thumbsup:lol.
Female hinterland areas should remain as god intended. With hair.
Wohoooo.

Everyday is star wars day when you are a fan.

I need to sit down and watch all the originals again, been too long.

I am always going to be a fan of the originals, the ones from the late 90s early 2000s are ok, but just ok. This new Disney stuff.......meh

But the 3 originals are pure gold. Imo

I like the old (original) version better than the 2000s remastered version of the old ones. I hate the new scene in jabas palace hate the music in the bar in a new hope and I'm not a huge fan of the remastered ending of the return of the jedi!

I agree. I didn’t really need a ring of fire around the exploding Death Star & all the other ding dong tid bits.

Absolutely agree. I do enjoy the Phantom Menace most of the later movies. Brief appearance by Gardulla the hut next to Jabba is priceless.

Y'all should check out "Star Wars Rebels".

It's the series Disney did before they actually bought the franchise.

Don't let the "kid's show" stigma fool you.

It's WAY better than the last six movies!

It's also unfortunately much better than the new Disney series :(

In fact, the last movie "borrowed" the spirit animals ethereal travel to the other side of the planet from "Rebels".
