Warlock woes...

its only worth a few hundred bucks if ya ask me... have a few dollars in parts laying there but thats about it..

i paid $800 for a pair of LRE bed sides
i paid $250 for a pair of standard step side bed sides
$400 for a pair of super clean step side fenders

if that has the bucket seats in it then they are worth a few bucks...

just to give ya an idea of what some stuff goes for.. i'm in the the north east where **** rusts...

anything more then a few hundred dollars for that thing and you are nuts in my opinion...

1st of all it does not have a Dana 60. if you count the bolts on the back cover there should be 10 if it is a Dana 60. but I'll bet you see there's 12 bolts and that means it's a 9 1/4.

2nd it's parts unless you have another body to build. (I have a 86 4x4 complete body I'll sell you)

Walk away. You can't deal with people who have a sentimental attachment. That is her problem, not yours. If it's so important to her, let her fix it. I never understood how the sellers so called sentiment means I should pay more for something. She's already been paid for the truck, she's just trying to get paid twice. it's a parts truck that I wouldn't pay more than 1k for. And good luck selling the parts. They are not exactly a hot item.

1k!? Holy crap. That’s way too much for that **** box. $500 no more.
I learned a couple trucks ago not to mention what I pay for them because I get local buyers that are on the forum and all of a sudden they want everything or the truck for the same price I paid for it like all my time and effort was for nothing.

The truck is very repairable. Give the chick her money and fix the truck. Then you can apply for a new title once it is inspected. The truck will be worth much more than what you paid.

I'm not dying to have that wreck in my driveway that bad..
For the right price I think it's cool, and I could at least make my money back and hopefully double it.
Hopefully I could stumble upon a donor truck before I did have to start partying it and getting rid of it. I don't live in a place with a lot of property I live in a neighborhood. Not an uppity neighborhood but I would like to think that everybody is respectful enough not to start a junkyard in front of their house! LOL so I've got to see a means to an end. Either let it sit for a few weeks maybe a couple months at the most and hope for a donor to pop up or concede and start parting it. I'm just trying to double my money for my efforts. If I just give the check her money which is my money and not yours I will never be able to double it.. remember I just parted a truck out that had almost all the parts that I need.

It would look good sitting next to your Duster.....

Kidding..... I like your car
I think it would look perfect next to my duster but I am more of a four-wheel drive Power Wagons kind of person. that's why I'm not overly overly excited about it I just think it would be cool..

Then stop cryin about it and let somebody else buy it. I mean seriously, either you want it or you don't. You sound like a woman tryin to make her mind up.

I'm confused. If the insurance company totaled it and paid her for it, it's not her's anymore. It belongs to the insurance company. How can she sell it? That's how it works. I'd get a LOT more information before I laid any money down.
I disagree. In 1985 I totalled my chevelle and the insurance company (state farm) gave me the car and $2000 cash. It took a lot of negotiations because I wouldn't sign off on it for them until I got what I wanted. But I got the car and rebuilt it with the money.

Where did me sharing my thoughts and experiences on General discussion on a Mopar forum get diverted into me crying? That's right kind of where I must have lost Focus?
I mean you know me I'm usually joking I mean this is not a big "woe" for me.
Just sharing like I did seed truck and Son of seed truck...
I'm well aware of how to buy a car and just sharing with the people who want to hear about it that's all no crying nothing lost here..

Laws vary state to state. In Georgia, we don't have that option, as I've totaled a few and I could not get paid and have the vehicle too, so I was speaking from personal experience. If a car is totaled in this state, you either take the money or the vehicle.

Wow. You're right. I forgot that not everyone lives in Indy.

Walk away guy, if you are a Power Wagon guy a Warlock will never satisfy that itch. However in our family being married under a full moon (family tradition) in a hand binding ceremony complete with a broom jump. A nice Warlock is pure class! Hah

Good luck with that.

We can get it done in Georgia. Once repaired, the GBI has to come out and inspect it. When it passes, they give you a report to take to the local tax office where you can apply for a new title. This is all dependent of course, that it had a title to begin with. In Georgia, older vehicles only need a bill of sale. If a vehicle has ever been registered without a title, you can never get a title again. Period. End of story. But if it had a good title, got totaled, bought back repaired and inspected, it can get a good title again. Lots of hoops to jump through.

Take my 64 Valiant for instance.......I bought it from a member here. He was administrator for his deceased cousin's estate who owned the car. He had all the correct paperwork and the original title on the car in his cousin's name. I took all that to my local tax office. They said "you'll only get a bill of sale with this". I said no, look it over. That's a clear title and administrator paperwork. THey still said I would only get a bill of sale. I asked them politely to go ahead and run it through the system and see what happened. Guess what? It came back as a clear title and I was able to get a title in my name. Sometimes you have to kinda poke and prod to get them to do something, because all they do is work there. Anything "out of the box" throws them for a loop.

i don't know.. truck parts are going up in price rapidly these days. and once finished it will have a repaired title or whatever they issue in his state.. warlocks don't bring a ton of money to begin with now add a repaird title and the price really drops..
