I worked on this Carter BBD and throttle/kick-down bracket this weekend. The Lokar bracket was in the way of the throttle lever mixture screws if attached the way Lokar designed it, so...I made an extension for the bracket from a carpenter's square, and made a lever to attach the throttle cable and K.D. cable to the throttle lever. I'ts all ready to bolt on next weekend (I hope)!

Can u say , FLEX ?

Beware.. More that one case posted here where a aftermarket braided metal cable sheathe chaffed through wiring at the firewall and caused engine bay fire. Maybe a slant 6 application provides more clearance. Good luck with it.

You need to add another support connecting on the two mounting studs and the rear of the carb or at the lower egr block off plate, with thicker metal.

Thanks for the advice! The system is working great. I'm very happy with the conversion to 2 bbl's. There is no flex or deflection at all. The pull points for both the throttle and the kickdown cables are equal distances from the pivot point on the carb's throttle lever, and the steel I used is very stiff.
