Keith black small block found/info

Sorry if I entered the request for information on the wrong category. But it worked, quick too. I'm besides myself this morning.those things are a piece of history for sure. I looked up the story about the Indy program with STP. granatelli, gurney and art Pollard. Cool story.my hands definitely good. I'm planning to put the 4" rotatating assembly from the short block that was in the dart. I can't find another W2 head to match the broke head.going with the eldebrock Victor 16 degree heads .the numbers on the flow chart are best of the small block heads available new that I have seen. And sorry for any confusion about intentions to sell.im working on my forum procedure.and category selection.have a good day and be nice

What W2 head do you have? I may know of a match. PM me.

From the research I have done they were used for roundy pund racing in classes that mandated iron intakes... It wasn't uncommon to port W2s squaure. Dick Landy did it to the extreme in Pro Stock.

It is also said that chrysler intended to use them on Little Red Expresses and did install them on certain pursuit packages in the late 70s to early 80s 360s.
Of course this will create an uproar from some .

I bought this as a novelty.

When I get home, I'll measure my square port W2's. That looks way too small to be a square port W2.

Thats the closest shot I have... will take a better one when I get home.

Not wanting to hi-Jack the thread, but I'd like to see some casting numbers on that manifold.

They seemed a bit small to me as well.. But there is a ton of meat there. I dont think they intended them to be hogged out to far.. Notice the casting on the bottom showing where the standard bolt holes would have been.

I didnt have time to look at them in depth as I heard the wife coming...lol ( I got the tenth degree about why I needed this...) but you can see the w2 bolt spacing.

It's nothing but a production manifold drilled with the w2 bolt spacing.

I did see the bolt spacing but mother loving son of a mother bear to make those fit a true W2 square port you'd be grinding on that mother jumper for WEEKS and WEEKS.

Holy Crap. I'm done grinding on iron. It sucks.

This just arrived yesterday .... 604b1duster picked it up for me and shipped it out.
Would top of that block and some W2s as the ultimate sleeper !

Factory cast iron W2 intake..NOS
Finding the old stuff can be a fun part of the game.
CMcAllister has a W2 head and a cracked one that comes with it!
Hey cmcAllister, I need 59 degree opened chamber head 810 last 3 casting numbers

Yup! That’s what they did going back then. It helps racers fit the rules without recasting a W2 intake in cast iron. It’s a simple fix to get an iron intake to a W2 head to meet rules for the class.

Effective? No.
Cheap for the company? Yes.

Nice 'pick' on the KB blocks!

Got to just love a rare find.

I have an engine thats pretty rare too, not KB but HW, Harry Weslake UK.
It has a square-port STR-14 thats been converted to W1 bigblock Ovalport heads.
